Conducting Work in the Workspace - Overview: Statuses and Workflow Actions: Step 2 of 4

Registration Statuses

Registration Rejected

What it Means

The initial registration did not pass screening requirements for participation in the class action.

Next Step

  1. In many situations, there is not a next step and the registration ends here. When the registrant’s answers indicate they do not meet the screening criteria, the system automatically sets Registration Status to Registration Rejected for one of these reasons:

    a. Registrant is in IVA or bankrupt

    b. Registrant did not purchase the car in England or Wales

  2. It is possible for the Workspace Administrator to work with the client and can update registration details. Once the details are current, the Workspace Administrator updates the status.

Status Change

  1. When the registration is not viable, the system automatically sets the Registration Status to Registration Rejected once the client completes the registration steps.
  2. When the Workspace Administrator updates the registration details, they advance the status from Registration Rejected to Fee Agreement Required after making the updates.

Fee Agreement Required

What it Means

The client has completed the registration and must complete the fee agreement.

Next Step

Client provides the signed fee agreement.

Status Change

The system automatically sets the Registration Status to Claim Details Required once the client submits the fee agreement.

Claim Details Required

What it Means

The client must detail their claims and have them accepted.

Next Step

Client completes the claim detailing steps.

Status Change

The system automatically sets the Registration Status to Claim Processing once the client completes the claim details.

Claim Processing

What it Means

The client has submitted at least one Claim and is moving through the steps for processing a claim.

Next Step

The claim proceeds through any DSAR process steps, OCR process steps and claims review process steps.

Depending on the outcome of each step, the status change can vary.

Status Change

The system automatically sets the Registration Status to Claim Details Required if more information is necessary.

Active

What it Means

All claims have been finalized and the client has at least one accepted claim

Next Step

The claim review process is complete and the claim has been accepted; the claim is part of the class action.

Status Change

The system automatically sets the Registration Status to Active at the same time the Claim Status is set to Accepted.

Inactive

What it Means

The client has opted out of the class action.

Next Step

The claim review process is complete and the claims has been rejected; the claim is not part of the class action.

Status Change

The system automatically sets the Registration Status to Inactive at the same time the Claim Status is set to Rejected.
